This is a very pretty pretty vintage European grain sack, with its delicate pink and mint coloured stripes. We hadn't seen one like this before so we are very happy to have found this beauty!

We have lined this lovely bag with a wine and white gingham cotton, paired it with a removable inside purse and our brown rolled leather handles. You are welcome to change these handles for any on our 'Handles' page, just leave us a note at checkout.

The vintage sack that has been used to make this beautiful bag is made out of hemp. These were instrumental in getting farmers sugar, flour and grain to the mill and in order to identify their own sacks many families stripes and monograms were stitched or stencilled onto the fabric ensuring the sacks were returned to their rightful owner.
