We are astounded by the stripes on this marvellous bag which look like they could have been woven in only recently but in fact, they could be anything between 60 and 100 years old!!! That's crazy cool!
We have lined this lovely bag with a sweet mint green, rose-patterned cotton, paired it with a removable inside purse and our brown rolled leather handles.

The vintage sack that has been used to make this beautiful bag is made out of hemp. These were instrumental in getting farmers sugar, flour and grain to the mill but in order to identify their own sacks many families stripes and monograms were woven, stitched or stencilled onto the fabric ensuring the sacks were returned to their rightful owner.
